I'm Paul.
I’m an electronic engineer who somehow fell head first into the world of coffee. I used to struggle with the so called complexities of coffee until I realised it wasn’t the coffee confusing me it was the techniques I’d been shown by perceived experts.
As an engineer I was trained to remove complexity and reduce a concept to its simplest form. Anyone can complicate a simple subject but it takes real experience to simplify a complex one. I’m no expert but I’ve learnt a lot over the last twenty years and made plenty of mistakes along the way.
Through that journey I’ve developed my own simple techniques that have been refined by training thousands of professional baristas in real cafes. Online influencers may have millions of views but many have zero industry experience. What I teach comes from the real world not the internet.
For the first time these methods are now available to you. My goal is to take all the stress and guesswork out of coffee so you can enjoy making coffee at home and feel confident every time you walk up to your machine.
